Oregon - With the Poker Guys

My poker friends have always been a lot of fun. We've been playing for some time now almost every third Saturday. JB, Tony and Rob are regulars. I can always count on one of them to take my money after having too many of my orange dreamsicle beverages. Once in a while we get out and travel. Here's a picture of us at one of the clubs visiting Rob. Always good times. I think that night ended with Rob pushing JB home in a shopping cart and me yelling after them to knock it off. I was worried JB might break a clavicle. (There's history there...)

HEUG 2009 / Disney Land

This year's HEUG (Higher Education User Group) conference was held in Anaheim California. This was my fourth conference. It's a PeopleSoft systems conference for the Public sector (mostly Universities) from users across the world.
The convention center was the most modern and largest one we've been to yet. Here's a picture of one of the interior stair wells.

This picture is of (Left to right) Kimberly, me, Diana and Bonnie. Kimberly, Diana and I all work in the Registrar's Office and have been going to the conferences together ever since each of us joined the University. As you can see, we had a "Cheesecake Factory" night. After getting our dinner, Kimberly, Diana and me went back to their room and watched Desperate housewives and ate our cheesecake. Yum!

The next evening we were invited to the IO Consulting dinner. It was an open bar and open buffet all night long. In this picture there is Camille, me, Diana, Jim and Betty.

As always, I HAD to get a picture of my food. yeah... I actually finished it all off too. THEN we ordered AMF's and much to my pleasure the others weren't keen on the drink and I had to finish them off myself :D Awesome ;)

The last evening I went to Disney Land (haven't been there since I was a toddler) and Mark took this picture of me entering the park.

After riding the rollercoasters (some of them twice!) and then watching the closing fireworks show, of course I had to have some of Mickey's Ice Cream!

P A N D O R A !!!

I'm in love, and her name is Pandora. ^_^ Let me explain; I've heard of the Music Genome project, but only quips here and there. Then a few months back I was at my friend Andrej's house and he was playing music and I remember saying "Wow, this music is all great!" and he told me he was using Pandora. I'd never heard of it, and hadn't had a chance to check it out myself until recently. Pandora.com is AMAZING! Basically, you sign in and type in your favorite musical artist. Then Pandora selects music like that artist and as Pandora chooses music, you select thumbs up or down, that's it (if you want). Then Pandora expands the music it plays, based on your "Music Genome" to play only your favorite type of music. Basically I don't know how I lived without it before. It's a must-check-out. For Serious. Do it.
